He has had the injectors cleaned and flow tested so that rules that idea out.

Bypass the fuel pump relay and turn the key on and see what you get. The volume must be measured on the return hose. 30 seconds is enough. Can you do a log and post it?
Thanks Charles, I will get on to this next. Hadn’t thought of that, I should be able to save a log.

Thanks for your input Delcowizzid.
I wish it was that simple, first thing I thought as it had been sitting for so long but I had them professionally cleaned and tested and they were near perfect to start with.

Has it still got the NVRAM or a memcal? Is it worth pulling the bin out to make sure it isn’t corrupted? It’s a long shot, but is it a zero cost test at least.

It has the NVRAM and that could certainly be worthwhile. It’s been a while since I have used this so could be challenging. Thanks Brindo

Hi all, well this has me totally stumped. I measured the fuel delivery and no problems there,I filled a 1.5 litre tin in 10 seconds. I rechecked TDC and the distributor rotor position and all good. Disconnected the EST and checked the base timing is 10 degrees before TDC, all good. Check for spark and all good. I would have saved a log file but couldn’t get it to idle at all. It’s as bad as it has ever been. Maybe the bin file is corrupt. Cheers

Do you have a copy of the previous bin file? If so you can do a compare with TunerPro or just reload the prevoius one. Can you post up the current bin file that may be corrupted?

If your starting to check the Bin file, check that:

EST params - Spark Reference Angle is at 10 degree

Thanks Mechcano, I have had that in the back of my mind. If that had changed back to I think 60 degrees, does that mean that the whole tune has been lost? It’s been about 10 years since I bought the NVRAM. When I connect TunerPro it still recognises the previous tune by name at least. Thanks
