If you go to http://memcals.com/rcc_info_memcals.html or use the binid tool and look up BLCF you'll see its for a VR 5.0 Manual. You would be using it in a vn/vp 5.0 auto. The auto is non electric so it'll handle itself ok, but the speed senders are different so you are calibrating the ecu for the right sensor. Telling it how many pulses to interpret as 1km for its speed calculations.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

thanks ant,
i thought differently but obviously wrong,so the PPK i see now is pulses per kilometer and the different sensors are calibrated differently ,thanks heaps mate appreciate it ,cheers

If you change diff ratios you can change this parameter as well so that the ecu can calculate correctly what speed the vehicle is travelling at.
On a std vn the speed sensor outputs 1250 pulses to the ecm per 1 kilometre.
If this parametre is wrong ,when you are datalogging you will see an incorrect vehicle speed on the tunerpro dash.

the ppk is changed due to vn speedo pulses to the ecu go via the dashboard speedo on vn and are outputted at a different amount after the speedo .on vr the pulses go direct to the ecu.

yeah ,i forgot about that ,as delcowizzard said, on a vn the speed sensor output goes to the speedo ,and the speedo sends a modified signal to the ecm -1250 ppk

"vn5000" and "delcowizzid",
and it's all done without any tall poppy syndrome ,it's refreshing to see , so much more pleasant this way ,
i read something on one of the other threads about knock sensors and i have to ask ,do the vn's have a knock sensor on the 5L's?
