On a side note, those who are planing/doing an ecotec conversion and want a new throttle cable, get genuine VT cables from Holden or ebay. about 30-40 bucks, works good and about 200mm longer than the VS cable which is NLA and aftermarket price is $85, win win!

geez and I thought the VS one was long!!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

I did a test fit, seem just right I reckon. Long sweeping radii is what you want especially that the ecotec doesn't have a roller actuator like the buick TBs do. They bind a lot easier than the buick setup.

Re: Vlad's VP executive (full restro)
not much on the VP cos I been working on the work car and the new VR, but with the major milestone reached with the VR and my work VP back up to proper service I will start chipping away at the VP once again.
Anyway check how the VR engine came up.

my list of what I did to it so far to the VR.
"Throttle body reco and detailed and alloy sealed.
Manifold and TB elbow chemically cleaned inside and out, detail and painted.
Valley and heads cleaned of stale gunky oil.
Rocker cover chemically cleaned inside and out.
Fuel railed semi-polished and sealed.
Alternator fully reco, cleaned, detailed and alloy sealed.
New cooling system hoses and clamps.
New fuel lines all round.
New TB gasket.
New elbow gasket.
New genuine Intake and valley gaskets.
New thermostat (genuine Holden) and gasket
New high speed rated bearing for old billet idler pulley.
New heater tap.
New rocker cover seals.
New power steering return line and EFI style clamps.
New genuine Holden PS hose O rings.
Aftermarket brass heater and bypass manifold fittings.
New Siemens Deka OEM type injectors.
Cooling system flushed 3 times and new coolant."

cheers!
should be a good car, it really gets up and goes hard. Feels like its got 30% more oomph than the VP does.

Re: Vlad's VP executive (full restro)
bit more work over the weekend.
Got most of the paint in the boot stripped. But too dark for any pics to work.
here is the engine bay though, getting there.
finally finished this section, I think? that small but deep dent near the window seal is now completely gone.
Inner guard area all cleaned up, paint and shit gone. There is some 2 pak to be stripped in the vicinity, thinner or acetone doesn't touch it.
