Sorry I should not of said Baro. I have only been talking about what the Map reading is with ignition only turned on which should read close to the barometric pressure of the day.

I've adjusted the calc so now it's reading about 100 with only the key on.

Had issues with the battery, it has been on it's way out but it didn't want to start today on the first turn of the key, it just ticked..... Anyway, replaced the battery and now it seems to idle at a lower kpa than it did before so not sure what is the go there? Poor spark with a weak battery maybe?

Bolted on the new elbow and went for a spin but the air temps have almost doubled from 26° this morning to 44° this arvo. I also didn't keep my boot in it till it changed up so I don't think the numbers are comparable at all.

Probably alternator isn't loaded up as much as it was before.

Max of 179kpa which I think equated to about 11.5psi ? Scaling might be off a bit but it's definitely working :)

edit: Atmo is showing as 106.6kpa so I guess that needs to read about 100 ?

This is a problem I get, 95% of the time it reads 106 baro when its actually lower.
Just thinking about my mates 355 VR, his genuine MAP sensor always reads 104kpa @ 100% TPS and I'm fairly sure my VS Senator does the same.

yeah not sure what this is, I get 104 and sometimes 106 despite the map saying 95-96 which is the actual true baro.

About 1 in 10 times it will read the correct baro but thats very rare for it to do that. I have used the flag update baro during run. Doesn't work, still reads that 104+ baro.

Thing is I logged that and VL have a look at it and said it was normal, 96 baro. But when I play the logs back its always too high and unchanging.

I gave up on it ages ago as its only a minor problem, but still would be nice if it works correctly.

baro does change in the real world day by day and also by altitude. dont adjust the algo to get the number your expecting, do the math to get the algo and trust the data. if your sure its out be skeptical of the quality of your map sensor.

I checked the met data and it was 1020 and I'm at sea level so all good there.

im 600m above sea so max baro I can ever see is 96 with a high pressure system overhead. My map Kpa when the engine isn't running matches actual barometer readings spot on but the baro in TP is nearly always maxed out. Even seen this driving further up, kpa dropping to low 90s as I approach 1k and baro still pegged to the max.

Hmm would probably need to ask vl400 about that one. If you think it is causing more problems than its worth you can clear the flag "update baro during run". If it still logs high then its probably an adx or data output issue from the pcm. Note that with it disabled and driving up a large hill eventually you might need to pull over and key off and on if the car starts running badly to cause it to set a new baro baseline as is the case with the factory cars. Note this is extreme altitude changes, not something you normally need to do.

Same thing happens with both optioned used. Doesn't seem to cause much problems that I notice. just annoying that it doesn't seem to work.
