Charging does not look good either as volts are sitting between 9 and 10 volts, and it never gets over 10 volts. That might not be the first problem to look at but be aware.

It'll be set up for stock injectors, and you have larger ones so it'll be injecting more fuel that it realises. You need to figure out the part number of your injectors, get some flow rates and update the injector rate to suit. Is it a stock fuel pressure reg?

Yep have charged the battery it was run down with all the starting attempts. Have checked the distributor wiring has low voltage. How can I check the ignition module don't seem to get any spark advance. The only part numbers can find on the Denso injectors is 2881566 tried looking for information on them but must be looking in the wrong place. Have rechecked the initial timing has the standard fuel regulator the car ran on those injectors with the old . I have seen the same injectors on eBay for 5 litre Mustang but no specific information other than 24 lb.

I just went back to the start of this thread to refresh exactly what engine this is. TPI! So your nvram is probably set for 8 cylinder mpi. Pop the inspection plate off the ecm and check the jumpers. Remove the jumper on 8 (so 4 6 and 8 all have no jumper) for tpi. That could explain things if its tpi. But then your talking 24lb injectors. Is it mpi or tpi now?

Edit: more of a read on my part, so it seems it is tpi, so yes you should remove the '8' cylinder jumper.

Delcowizid has posted a 350 chev TPI 24lb tune in the custom tunes section here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic. ... =375#p4033

I have converted that to 12P v112 which matches whats on the nvram. You can upload it with the flash tool, or load it in tunerpro and hit the upload button.

Thanks Antus I will give it a go tomorrow morning and see how we go. One question the flat line for the spark advance is because it doesn't need any advance until it's running? and the little green light inside with the red one is that meant to flash or be stay on

The PCM doesnt deliver spark until above 400 RPM. Because it didnt see that, the module would have been handling spark. You'll see it change when its running properly.

The leds on the SXR board are green for pcm->pc data and red for pc->pcm data. (For anyone else wonder what were talking about - the SXR chip in the original '165 was toast, as was something else in the signal path, so its an 808 with an SXR in a 165 case now).

Hi tried removing the 8 cylinder jumpers flashed the new modified 350bin that Antus posted for me but still no go it flood the plugs fuel dripping out of them every time I pull one out how do I change the flow rate is it providing extra fuel at start up for cold starting. Did another log after the charges. I pulled the fuse for the fuel pump and turned it over to dry it out and it fires but won't run put the fuse back and it floods

You will need the jumper on 8 cylinder think ant has tpi confused with tbi. If they are dripping wet something is going on with the injectors stuck full open or the fuel reg could have a hole in the diaphragm or the injectors are huge. 24lb injectors will run fine even on a stock Tune so shouldn't be drowning it

Argh, yes I did. I couldnt fathom how a single 24lb injector could feed a v8. I guess that explains it.

I will borrow a fuel pressure gage from work tomorrow and check the fuel pressure before pulling the regulator apart cause not going to be easy as it's under the rear of plenum with a half a dozen security torque screws around it.

Its worth checking but I reckon its more likely an injector wiring problem or faulty injectors. I had a search for the numbers you posted but I couldnt find any reference to it either.
