Sometimes bad coil packs leads or plugs lead people to believe the transmission is bad in the vs vt v6 it seems to be quite common.
Quite often it is the engine misfiring upon shifts or not running on all cylinders etc.

Never thought of that to be honest...thanks for the tip Dec_head.....maybe the new plugs making a bigger difference than expected...

Norton finally let me download the ose enhanced flash tool v127...took a few attempts before norton finally gave up (happens apparently) but downloaded now..just have to set it up to read the ecu and get those calcs....even with a reset ecu and new sensors, acceleration is still wanting...took a log ahortly after the car was back together and had been driven....acceleration still shows a lean out but the sensors are at least both working...at this point, the sensors have not been corrected for the earthing problem....that is to come...

Vs V6 engine and trans 1.07 –tp5.adx with Tunerpro RT 5.00.6356.00 used..

I have been using a free internet security for a few years now from http://www.comodo.com/products/free-products.php
Never had any dramas.
I also use http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html it's been good to me as well.

i'd recommend getting another memcal and burn the required bin onto it .... or send it to someone and they'll replace the tune on it

Thnaks for the advice holden202.....just for info...approached holden for advice about the memcal.....a guy in spares contacted someone in victoria who in turn provided the following advice...they confirmed that BTXP was the correct memcal and for holden to fix it required me to provide details of the cars vin...a memcal costs $204.60 not including postage from vis or installation, but holden would require the vehicle and all keys forpart of the day....although a total cost could not be given as they hadn't done it before....
