Basically, you can't.
Holden don't have them available, and many out there being purported as V8 items; aren't.

For professional tuning, a good set of knock phones and human response would be safer anyway.

i have read the other thread and see now the issues with buying one,in like your statment about doing it the old fashioned way which i have been doing on carbed engines but i am thinking of customers,i am about to try an msd knock sensore on a carbed engine and will let you know how it comes up,

hey guys,
i have been at pains with this for a few days and really need to ask,earlier in this thread delcowizzid said something about the AE tables beeing like the accelerator pump on a carby,now i have scrolled through the maps and scalars and found a few different AE's but i honestly can not decide which one suites the job,i would have thought an AE based on manifold preasure or tps but i really need to ask which AE do i use for tip in enrichment?can anyone please assist,many thanks

the main one i use is "AE - AE Multiplier Vs Engine RPM Table" this is used for adjusting the AE for different RPMS, its the one i use for removing rich/lean spots when standing on the throttle, its pretty much the accelerator pump/discharge nozzles in a holley carby ....

then theres "AE - AE Temperature factor vs Coolant Temp" this is to make changes depending on temperature, so if you find AE is alright in the above table at temperature but you get a cold stumble then you can change this table to resolve it for that temperature.

the other ones i haven't really needed to ever play with.

I agree, "AE Multiplier" was the one I changed to get the AFRs sitting where i wanted when I hit the go pedal on my 4 cyl tune. The defaults from the v6 were a fair way out and it made quite a noticable difference.

thats righteven just running the VR V6 tune on the ecotec motor needed alot of changing due to the larger plenum!

the more i study this stuff the less scary it gets,when i first started this campagine i imagined all of these changes that i would need to make but now it seems that the ve is paramount and most of the rest pivots of it,cool,now i have been a good boy and my book and one thing that he talks about is defining the fuel injectors ,do we need to do this in tp5 ,is there somewhere that you do that or does the ecu do that based on the ve tables ?

You only need to change that if you change the injectors. The default tables are pretty in the ball park anyway, most of the time you will find you dont need to but if the data is available for your new injectors, you can change the table to suit.
