I managed to find a NOS scuttle cover in Tas for 50 bucks. Contacted the guy as it was listed on gumtree last year and he still does have it

Last time I tried to buy one, it went for nearly 200 bucks and that was back in 14. So now I don't have to use the one I stashed for the VP S.

Would love to find some NOS bonnet and boot emblem but they are all gone from every sources I know. one day some might turn up.

Also picked up a NOS IAC for 20 bucks and free postage. And the 4block had some NOS factory cruise control harness kits for V6 at 52 bucks each free postage, so I bought one.

Other than that, I have done stuff all. Still waiting on the sump  so I can move on from the engine to other stuff.

Is that the same 4blok that wants $142.50 for a V8 cruise bracket that's worth about .80c ? I bought a nos VN-VS cruise module and cable for $50 last weekend so if anyone has a spare bracket they don't need ? Other wise i'l fab one out of stainless and polish it :)

found some NOS VP II white front bumper moulds for $22 each. Dropping off my extractor to jet hot in Castlemaine on Tuesday for coating and also meeting up with Bendigo retro muscle cars to see about freshening up some bits on the car.

Cruise harness and module. Lol. I just threw 2 away. I tried selling them for about 6 months, the tried to give them away for anther 3, then one day I was getting something out of my pile of parts and the loom tangled one brake caliper and dropped on my toe, so I had a big clean up. They went to the tip.

So some updates.

Extractors off to coating.

Bought the same NOS cruise control for VS ecotec as HQ did, that is for the VP S later on.

Spoke to Gary at Bendigo retro muscle cars, so looks like the I'm going to get the whole car repainted in nice 2 pack, dents all beated out and the extension panel replaced under the tail light for a price I couldn't say no. Well under my budget for a paint job so I'm happy as Larry. I have to do the prep of removing the old paint with acetone and removing items from the body.

Just now sussing out getting the scuttle panel over from Tas as auspost are usless.

bumper inserts to be picked up at the post office.

Now sussing out a NOS cruise control cable for this car as the one from pick a part ended up being stuffed. Half the jacket came off the cable lol.

Next few weeks the T5 will go in for reco and beef up.

billet harden 3/4 keys, bronze shift ball socket, bronze fork pads and billet counter shaft bearing retainer to replace the sheet metal one. Other than that a good quality oil with PTFE additive you are good to flog it until the cows come home.
