yeah i have a couple of ECMs
i was under the impression that the DFI module would fire out a spark at a set interval during crank and only when its over a certain RPM does it then start adding advance etc and the computer takes over the control.
i have a DFI module and coilpack on a VT motor i have so i will ravage that.
will get there
i don't even have the dash plugged in a CEL would be handy might have to do that too LOL, know what the CEL is doing might be a good look ;)

You can get spark without a ecu even plugged in. On a V8 at least the ecu seems to want a stronger signal.
I got my figures from the VN workshop manual back in the day.

solved. had power on A6. 0.4VDC. with +13VDC it starts and runs. is fucking loud straight out of the heads mind you.

i dont know what it is but after you do something like this hearing it run is something else. can't quite find the words. cathartic maybe?

yeah I don't think it matters what the motor is, shitter or new rebuild, after having it all apart and putting it all back in the first start is always a good feeling and a beer/coke worthy moment :)
