Pitty my bank account isn't.

I still plan on doing trumpets to try, just havn't had time to draw them up yet or get print time.

havn't had much time but got one trumpet designed and printed. Unsure what length would be best so i made it flush with the top of the TB intake.

speaking of which, I had done some calculation on plenum volumes etc for twin plenum manifold.

So I have come up with 1.5L max for each one and TB and intake ram tube size of about 43mm for each. Based on RPM range of 5800 at 85% VE, 3.8L engine displacement.

It would be done with a powder type 3D printer rather than the extrusion type.
Awesome hey! Looks like the Windform is about $220 plus per kg! That's madness!

Wonder how much you need to make a manifold including wastage? Gotta be around 7-10kg surely...

What about for the stock single plenum and runner length adding in the extra trumpet length?

they have one of those up the UNI near here, 300k for the printer

the runner length and diameter depends on each other and cam specs and well as valve etc..

the link yoda posted back a few pages has all the theory and maths in there.

The plenum volume seems to be independent of the runners, it depends on engine volume, rpm range and expected VE at that max rpm range.

They speak of the max effective amount of cylinders a single plenum should feed is 4, and works particularly well on 3 cyl, so 2 per 6 cyl engines.

The stock volume of the V6 plenum is very much spot on in the case of single one for 4+ cyl engine.

They also told of the firing order must be even between he plenums otherwise that doesn't work, V6 is literally the ideal engine for twin plenums as well as flat 6.

Common V8, it wont work due to cross plane cranks unless a wacky plenum is made to serve certain cylinders from each bank. On that matter I realized tuned headers on most V8s dont actually work as good as they should due to the same problem unless you have an exhaust like this made. Same reason due header exhaust on a flat 4 goes backwards over. Seen that time and time again for the VW crowd. Would also explain why a cross over pipe on a V8 helps a lot, and why it doesn't so much on a V6 as the V6 already takes advantage of the even scavenging pulses in the header and the cross over would not be much benefit.

This is a Nispro manifold I think. Runners to the moon!
