right the hunt for 10's in the VB has begun today started fitting the new 1.65:1 yellow terra shaft mounted adjustable roller rockers

but to fit them we need to lift the rocker covers for clearance so begins the epic kiwi battle against alluminium in the trusty shed

after a number of hours with the above tools and grinder and flapper disks you now have a spacer ready to polish but only after drilling yet another 6 holes LOL few only one more spacer to make :frown:

yes but they look yucky as hell LOL and cost money haha weve spent around $4000 on a whole car and turbo setup would be nice to go 10's on the cheap and we only buy parts that make HP LOL

Solid effort mate, second one will take a fraction of the time - why buy stuff when you can make it - cheap third world labour - nah sweatshop in Wellington

never mind the time how many drinks did it take
Rockers might make a SLIGHT difference as much from the lifter preloads being properly set up as anything else.

lots of drinks mate lots of drinks LOL. rockers should gain us 1.2mm of valve lift bringing us up into the sweet spot at 0.495" lift or 12.57mm i can tell you there isnt much room left before coil bind on the springs

just hope they havnt made the ramp rate of the cam too hard out with the extra ratio.should hopefully eliminate any rocker flex if we had any a head cam and inlet 350 chev can gain 17hp with roller rockers over stock pressed steel rockers with the same ratio and 22-27hp with 1.65 compared to 1.5:1 so we may just gain a little when all said and done

find out tomorrow might even spool the turbo differently

That'd be because the stockers are notoriously innacurate with what the 'actual' ratio is.
Yeah mate i thought it looked like thirsty work
