Its worth starting a new thread as it will now be fault finding your setup I think. In the thread post the detailed info from the flashtool, but the first issue is the Tx light on all the time is one of two things - a pin is not soldered or the kalmaker SRAM needs reprogramming. If it turns off as soon as the key turns off its the kalmaker SRAM.

Thanks mate that sounds fair. I will get some pics up and more info tonight.
I'd like to get this bin out but not the end of the world if I can't.

Hi guys,

I'm new here just found it googling,

Anyway I have a question regarding the compatibility of PCM's. I have a VX Calais SCV6 and want to start delving into tuning the PCM. I will purchase a spare, so can I buy any auto V6 VX/VY PCM to flash my current setup into for testing, or does the SC ECU have additional HW onboard?

thanks in advance
Warren

aslong as you get the same part number PCM it should be identical.

SC V6 is not a flash based PCM, they still use a memcal. You can buy a spare PCM still but will need to have it linked to the BCM or disable VATS on the memcal. On SC models its easier to just keep your current memcal and PCM, and just use a 2nd memcal to play with changes. You need a programmer and UV eraser to make changes to a factory memcal, just a programmer if using an EEPROM replacement memcal or NVRAM to make changes over ALDL.

Excellent thanks for the quick response.

So if I purchase an EEPROM I can use your tool to download the bin from the current memcal install the EEPROM and flash via the ALDL, is this correct?

You'll need an NVRAM to tune over ALDL.
EEPROM will need to be done in a programmer.
We have a library of stock bins in the "holden Ecus" section, and some enhanced bins in the custom code section.
