Re: Turbo 355 pics
Thats some great numbers there wake77 How much boost are you wanting to eventually run??
Re: Turbo 355 pics
on a previous attempt we had the block o-ringed to run copper gaskets but had too many problems trying to get the water to seal.
so at the moment we are stuck with the o-ringed setup but we ae we are running standard head gaskets with it.
it's not working too bad the oring beds in right on the fire ring of the gasket.
wasn't real sure how MLS gaskets would go having the oring.
we were hoping to make it to the 1000hp mark but with the boost at 20 the egt's are starting to get up to arround 1650 degrees F.
starting to run out of time powercruise is on next weekend so were just going to replace the gaskets for now.

Re: Turbo 355 pics
properly anealed coppers and copper spray on gasket should seal them on ive used coppers with no orings in 202's lots never had one leak water.we used to allways use the old school trick of silver model paint on each side of the gasket works a treat. we were told last week headstuds and standard gaskets are only good for 12psi max we popped a set so went cheapo procomp MLS of all things they are holding up so far
