the adx should still work with stock. But obviously the objective is to use enhanced by design.

Alright, gave it a go and it works mate!

It still sets off the "engine warning" as it disables chatter on connection. But it works well and connected first go 3times in a row. Logs at about 8hz. Nice work!

I tried removing the "disable chatter" and this causes the data to go out. The chatter disable has to be be there for it to all work in TunerPro

Connects first go for me on Toyota Lexcen (VS V6)

Good to hear!

Theres no "chatter" on a VS unless on bench so I wouldnt expect for any error messages since the definition file doesnt disable any chatter

yes on VT and up if you disable chatter the other systems will complain and you will get fault code with low speed fan on because the BCM can't talk, cluster will complain and so will climate control if you have it, You also get a fault code logged in all systems including ABS for no data which you can see with tech2, no biggie.

I notice on my car when connected the low speed fan never comes on. Is this normal?

yep both low and high speed work perfect.

I haven't let it get hot enough to see if high speed comes on while connected as i have a manual override.
Next time i run it i'll let it idle and see what happens

Normal for logging a VS V6, you knock out the comms from the PCM to the BCM to control the low speed fan. High speed is PCM controlled and works like normal while logging.

There is no failsafe on the VS BCM like later models where you start logging and the low speed fan turns on and stays on. The VS PCM only sends a fan state change message (ie when it wants the fan to turn on or off) rather than continual messages like VT (and later) that the BCM monitors and if lost turn on the fan as a failsafe. The VS V6 low speed fan may never be commanded on at highway speeds so the BCM cannot just assume due to no messages there is a problem, the engine temp just may always be below the fan on temp!
