maybe so but in all honesty, most people using ARP bolts have other weak points in the engine so they are never the weakest link! .... my whole motor is held together with ARP! lol.

I like subarus. It is correct though, that more than any other car I've owned, good servicing is a must. Let it go on them and it will bite you. I have a 2.5 L STi, and it's a great car that responds really well to upgrade/ modifications. They are very safe cars at highway speeds too. If you are buying second had, a good service history with a reputable mechanic is a must.

I'd love to say you can't go wrong, but you can. You can go right too...
