its not a burnt valve or something like that ? head gasket ?

if its not major it might be a cheap fix and then a good spare engine!

Holden 202 I was hoping for something simple but the rattle coming from the engine and no compression in pot 2 indicates to me a major problem.

Yeah the plan is to strip the engine down. Worth more as scrap pulled apart so worth doing anyway. Just want to get the car going first then go from there.

Yeah i am thinking with such low k's maybe something was rusted up like a valve stuck or something from sitting around be interesting to hear what it was.

yeah i was wondering the same thing, especially if it is actually a rattle and not a knock then its likely to be something less minor like that or a dodgy lifter or even the old balance shaft bearings etc.

Not Happy Jane!!

After all the hard work of swapping the engines I've discovered that the so called good motor has a leaking head gasket. Well that's all I can put it down too. Engine is overheating losing water and sludge in the water. Pressure tested cooling system can't find any external leaks and the system slowly losing pressure. Hoping to get some money make or another engine.

Also not the cause but I'm just began blowing thermo fan fuses not sure the cause yet. Fuse 8 inside the car. Engine was overheating prior to fuse popping first 3 days the fan was working. Temperature raise to just below the Red mark (two dashes below) before dropping back to halfway.

Why sell a faulty engine

do a compression test on the cylinders that might show you leaking head gasket !!

and the answer is so they can make money!

That may be the case but I asked like 3 time prior to paying was the engine check all three were yes then I said if there is something wrong I'll be back. If nothing sorted Department of Fair trading will be getting involved. One way I'll fix them.
