hahahaha yeah yeah yeah ... well the spline on the axles is bigger than the gearbox yoke and the diff joke so if anything i think thats where i'd be most likelyto see the failures!!

who knows, i might have to find something to do with the delco injection on the Torana once the ecotec goes in .... you just never know :)

i have started on the wiring for the gemini .... :comp: i didn't use the loom from the torana cause i am selling that to my mate, also i wanted to make another loom and do it better than the first attempt.

so i got out my spare 202 on the trolley and fitted up my manifold and got into throwing wires around!

in preparation for $12P release i am making a few changes, removed the knock sensor wire and its being re-pinned to work for the wideband input to the ECM and i'm thinking i'll wire it into one of the spare wires on the plug thats under the dash, also thinking i wont bother with a narrow band o2 sensor and i'll just use the analog output of the wideband to fake a narrow band signal .... seeing how this car will spend most of its useful time in open loop mode i figure a narrow band is a bit useless

if only it actually happened in my sleep :D

pretty much got it all sorted ... need to get some lugs that fit over 3/8 bolts for one of the earths and i also need to get the plugs for the camira coil .... i've left some of the wiring uncovered because i want to run tacho, coolant gauge, oil pressure and stuff like that all in the one loom so i have to get them out of the gem and add them in .... as far as the efi side of it goes though im on the home stretch!

well over the weekend i have been running the gem on methanol and im pleased to say its all working really well :punk:

the dual maps i've been testing in $12P seem to be doing what they should .... i have setup map b tables to have methanol air fuel ratios and associated changes to suit methanol and it seems to run pretty well straight off the old 202 petrol tune i have.

 <---- this is very much what i looked like the other day after too much time in the shed, my brother said i looked like i was stoned from the methanol fumes burning my eyes!

now i just need to find $500 to buy a set of injectors to do what i need then i can really start working on a methanol tune for it!!

going to be removing the injectors when i finish the tank of methanol to see if theres any visible corrosion or seal issues and if they look fine then i'll be laughing ... they definately still seem to be working ok after a few days of running with methanol. .... i am also running castor oil in the fuel to help with lubrication etc as its supposed to supress the effects of corrsion on engine parts so we'll see how that goes i guess ... definately gives you that speedway fragrance we all know and love

the stuff i put in there pretty much is the same as castrol R ... its just the penrite brand. (SIN RACE CASTOR)

i'm actually trying to find somewhere that sells it in 5ltrs or something similar and for better value than $25 a ltr!

There is an "Upper Cylinder" lube that is available through Rocket etc. VP M2, it's available in strawberry as well. The container will treat 200 litres, about $22.
