The engine bay needed a freshen up so pulled it all to pieces, which is where it sat for some time. Anyway, its no where even close to vlad status but threw on some new paint and now reassembling it all with lots of new bits

Wow!
So clean

Of course. Mild stuff though, certainly no 4.7 crank slewinson!

Yep. First attempt at painting, turned out ok but certainly no pro job.
What things looked like before starting to fill in holes...

Filled in the old cold air intake from back when pods were cool.

- before 2.jpg (200.66 KiB) Viewed 4869 times
Added a flat response knock sensor while rebuilding the starter motor with the engine out, yes its in a prick of a spot!!
Glued some bolts together for the knock sensor..

My favourite connectors, duetsch DTM for these two...

And new fittings are now on the fuel lines so they can be extended up the firewall. The previous owner hack sawed them off...

Bugger! I must admit I am a huge fan of the Lexus donks having owned a twin turbo soarer in the past. Silky smooth and really punchy. Always thought the 4L was a great motor for a hotrod.
