Getting a little closer to hanging the turbo off the side

Need to order a 3.5” 45. Try and plumb the oem otr pipe back into the mace cai. I’m hoping with a heat gun, she’ll be a nice tight fit

Started ordering all the jrp 14 in 1 stuff. They’ve got a head guard now. Which allows you to run a coolant pressure sensor. But didn’t realise until I ordered it, that you have to sacrifice the fuel pressure sensor. But no big deal, I’m sure I’ll figure that one out.

My plan is to try keep the engine bay looking as close to factory ecotec as possible. Hence why I’ll be powder coating the intercooler pipes black. I’ll even be fitting the oem engine cover back on. So at first glance you don’t see no turbo or anything like that. Same with the rest of the car. Old man sheep skin seat covers and all the rest 😂. Power wise I’ll be happy with 250-300kw. So definitely not going to be a monster by any means. Just a nice street sleeper that flys under the radar 👌. That’s why I stated earlier, if I can’t hide the turbo then I’ll just fit an m90 and be done with it.

If anyone knows of a starter motor that can be clocked that’s suited to these, then let me know.

Not cheap but good quality starter motors.

Cheers mate. Cea performance seem to do similar as well, but even more expensive. Problem is they all seem to be hi torque starters and a lot larger then oem. If I could just clock the oem one it would be perfect. Really don’t like all the alternatives to working around this.

YEah, gear reduction starters. These are not that big. I have one here for my 304 but yes, probably bigger than a OEM.

Another option might be the mace engine mounts. Apparently they drop the engine 5mm. And there cheaper than a starter motor. Could play around with those along with shims and slotting crossmembers ect. Just need to make sure I keep the drive shaft pinion angles and everything within spec.

NVH is a big issue with those mounts
