Yeah, the ability for the later e38's to use a much larger injector calculation is very useful.
Do you guys happen to have the stock key for this seed?

PCM Traceability Code: <<<<<<<<<<<<<< I don't know why this shows up blank

whats crazy is the fact the ls1b controller can take upto 250lb.
They went backwards when they went to E40/E38 controllers.

Allllllrighty!!
CRC and SUM working (And saved..

).
Now, I opened up a file I saved from a tuned ECU, and the CRC (CVN) was correct, but the SUM was actually incorrect.
So... I would assume the SUM doesnt actually need to be done? Or maybe commercial tuning softwares are too lazy to implement?
I currently have the software to reject files which do not have a valid CVN and SUM.. but maybe thinking should only look at the CVN and ignore SUM if its out?

Allllllllllllllllmost there!!!
Tested on the laptop and it freaked out since I dont have coding in place to handy the initial folder creation in documents (Where its going to recommend saving reads and logs ect).
So.. we are now down to the last little fiddly bits

Nice, I noticed the dropdown menu on the write os and cal. What's in there?
Btw, the stock key(I assume that is what you posted) for that seed no worky. Interesting is efi will read it if I choose alt keys so I wonder if that means it's locked with something of theirs. Time to hook up the usb sniffer
Yes, I could just throw this in the trash and get another ecu from the junkyard but I like playing

Oh? Id be interested to see what key they enter.. Would imagine it must be either one of theres.. or hptuners autogenerated key.
The dropdown on the OS+Cal has the clone option. Didnt want to put another button for it.

In-tech.. try 3f80 for the key..
No idea if that's a fail safe or default or whatever that is but when I sort of bricked my ecu that's the seed I had and that's the key that finally unlocked it..
I found out after letting my brute force unlocker run on it for 2-3 days.. lol..
I did that trying to push 2011 or 2012 os and cals into a 2008 ecu... I wasn't doing it the right way.. is there a right way?? lol
Tazzi, I am kind of surprised the SUM was incorrect, I thought the ecu ran a SUM check on itself to verify the cals, although it may have been disabled? GM uses the CVN to check for altered calibrations and I read somewhere that those can be fudged but the SUM has to be good for it to run the code..
do you know where this bin came from? efi live? hptuner? etc??
