lol, I could buy one from the bolt place in keilor park. Though i ended up giving it to the engineer I use to do my machine work as I had other stuff to be done at the time.
I remember him looking at the sensor saying wtf is this thread as the taper confused him. Then he realized it was only the sensor thats tapered and the old manifold was a straight thread. "oh this is just a common M14 thread" he said.
The more challenging thing for him was making a brass tapered adapter with NPT 3/8-18 ( bs I know, actually 17mm ~) with inside thread of M12 x1.5. This was for the CTS to fit ecotec manifold.

you should have asked, I worked out what the sensor was years ago when I did the ecotec with 808

I bought the required tap from china for $7 delivered or something like that!

So ive been busy in the shed the last couple of days, managed to get the race car fully rewired, ecu is now impervious to dirt and water

This is the old engine harness

And the new 'almost mil spec' harness (limited by sensor connections) all exposed terminations are insulated buy dual wall heatshrink to prevent water entering the loom. Oh, and it only weighs 600gms

(compared to 1.76kgs)

This has been my workspace for the last few days

Oh, should add that the power steering is up and running, all i can say is WOW

feels fucking unreal just stationary with tonnes of camber and toe out with half flat tyres. Its very quite, i didnt think it was working at first, the steering reducer is louder....

Good job on the wiring. Did you make a new harness or re work the old one?
Do many guys go right out with there wiring on the race cars? Full mil spec harnesses?
I bet you see some VERY ruff wiring out there, I have.
Good news on the steering. How do you think you woud go on a road registered car fitting that up and keep an engineer happy? Any other race cars running that set up?

Thats a brand new harness built using nothing but tefzel wire and almost all new connectors.
In speedway, the wiring is always crap, only higher end cars get this sort of treatment, i have the parts and the ability, so why not?
See much more bad than good with race car wiring, it seems the average enthusiast understands how to build and engine, but when it comes to harness and circuit design, most are lost...
Cant see it being much of an issue on a road car, only thing i can think of is the weight difference between the Barina and the car its going into.
Not around here, no.

It's good fun building new harnesses I love it. Where do you buy your tefzel and connectors from? Run shielded on anything?
