getting the fuel mixture right at idle along with timing will change the idle rpm, you want to have the least throttle opening to maintain idle.
get the fuel close to whats being commanded, then work on the spark, i've found my new cam in the 202 will idle much happier at about 26 degrees at idle, adjust it to get the lowest map kpa reading then if the idle is too high just keep screwing the butterfly out till its where you want it, i've found with mine if i go below about 1000rpm it hunts too much so settled with that.
i'd still be interested to know what injectors you have

Legend.. I was worried about having 23deg at idle.
I can't find in my notebook what injectors I have. I'm sure they are off the early Falcons 18Lbs seems to ring a bell

Since ive been all graphical in this thread, i'll stick with it so anyone whos trying to get a picture in their head how and how far to change the VE can get an idea. Here are delcowizzids suggested VE changes, as difference from the previous bin and to show the shape.
Im keen to see another log now

So that graph essentially shows how much more fuel has been put in the table compared to the last Bin?
ie. a minus number in a cell mean you have added that much?

Yes, changes in those cells. Im not sure why TP is saying minus. the values look correct, but they are increases in VE. I dont think im doing it backwards, i'll try and find out more. You can use the difference tool (the scales) without compare data and see the values in delcowizzids VE are larger. Compare->Load Compare bins->bin1->browse->pick other tune. Open VE table, toggle compare (scales icon).
The shape of the VE tends to follow the efficiency of the cam, and the shape of the spark tends to follow the shape of the VE. I like the shape of delcowizzids VE a lot more for that reason.

theres no part number on the side of the injectors just near the plug ? 0 XXX XXX XXX or something similar ?

Yes their is, because that is how I exchanged my old ones for a re-built set. read the numbers
But I couldn't for the life of me find the number when I looked the other night, as stated I'm almost 100% sure they are from an EL or something of that vintage. which would make them 19Lbs injectors.
look identical to these ones
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Falcon- ... 000#ht_134
My guess is 0-280-150-790
where is it stamped on again? I'll prolly be able to see if I knew where to look

Only meaningful numbers on the injectors are 0 280 150 944... but on the one next to it is 0 280 150 061.
They better be the same flow rate

I brought my old ones in to be re-coned when my new inlet manifold and cam was ready and they gave me these ones that where already done... assured me they where a straight swap... I'll be checking the part no.s in a bit.
anyway.. here is the log of the run using delco's tune
was a lot better but still has a nasty lean shudder in some places... If I hold it at 2,000 in 4th (virtually no load) it shudders badly.
Also It seems as soon as I try and drop the idle below 1,500 when hot it dies on me.. I bumped the idle spark up to 26 and it didn't seem to do much.... The idle is aiming for AFR of 14... I think it may be too high because at thoes rev's there will be a fair bit of fuel going straight out the exhaust... 12.5 or 13 I think would be better...
anyways... what do ya recon?

Ok I get a difference of 1 Lbs between the 2 injectors when I did a google search
http://www.fuelinjector.citymaker.com/F ... Rates.html
Since they have been re-build maybe they where all put together with the same internals ??

Sorry for the multiply posts..
If I was to adjust the "closed throttle VE vs RPM" param .... would that essentially be my idle control for fuel?
