are there any setting regarding throttle transitions like during gear changes or blipping the throttle around corners and such..

this tune feels like it puts the brakes on power when plowing through gears upon releasing the clutch. I read "tip in bump" how does this work and exactly what does it do? any other adjustments I can play with to adjust throttle transition smoothness. I must prefer a sharper response.

although drivability in 1st is fantastic with this tune. old tune was undrivable in first when coasting along.

The FAQ has some info on tip in bump spark .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... f=7&t=1396

Might need to adjust some of the AE settings.

Might need to adjust some of the AE settings.

I disabled the RDSC last night, now its much more like what I want, nice and jerky. I don't get a sudden loss of power when slamming 1st to 2nd. The harder I tried to accelerate the slow the car went

I would be good though to have it disabled for all gears except 1st I can see it would be useful in traffic where I can't really use 1st. the Car just bunny hops like crazy.

Is there any more specific info regarding all the features of 12p v111? a lot of the stuff I am looking at isn't listed in the FAQ

The ecu doesnt know what gear the transmission is in, so no you cant do gear specific stuff with a T5. The manuals are all in the faq area. If you cant find an answer in any of those, and not by searching the site, feel free to ask.

There is also the kalmaker sp3 manual around somewhere, a lot of the logic also applys to 12p, but the item names are all different so you'll need to apply some logic to find any settings it mentions.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

are you sure? i recall it showing which gear it thinks I am in when driving or was I imagining that? There are setting to specify km per rpm for the 5 gears when I looked through it last night

there is a whole section in there regarding the 5 speed in the scalar section.

i think you will find though that alot of that stuff is just it assumes between a certain rpm/tps/road spped calc that it would be in a certain gear.
like for example if you are doing 3000rpm at 140kms and 100% throttle its got a fair idea of what gear your in for that.

as far as sensors in the gearbox and signals going to the ecm from that to tell it what gear, there is nothing.

It can work out what gear your in based on the RPM and vehicle speed, each gear has a "RDSC params - RPM/KmH N/V for Xth" param that sets the RPM per KPH.

There is hardly any info on here for RDSC and Tip-in-Bump as most people dont adjust it.

I think I might look into this, I see potentially very useful feature.

I found with the default setting my car behaves like it has launch control. I can launch very hard but its all smoothed and hardly any wheel spin at all.

Also with slamming through gears it feel really soft and no cluck otherwise. The harder I do it the more smooth out it was.

Adjusting these setting might be good for drive train protection and sort of launch control, or disabled, gain raw performance at the cost of drive train life drivability.

disabling the default RDSC in the 12P was a great gain in performance at the cost of drivability. The only reason I played with this was because my old tune which I have no idea what it is, was certainly a lot more harsh in this respect so I knew something was up and I worked out it must of not had the RDSC and tip/out in bump. And the fact the way I changed gears had direct effect on engine performance which it didn't before so I pieced it together worked it out it was related those setting, which it was.
