Yep, the 5V supply for the MAP is critical. It needs to be accurate and stable as it is the reference voltage for all the measurements.

Run the logger on 12V and use the 5V out on the same DB9 connector as the aux inputs, the MAP only takes a few mA. USB power is horrible and often not even close to being 5V (the cable plays a role in this too).

Just tested a 2bar sensor and its 2mA regardless of the pressure on it. Pretty small amount of current! Expected more than that.

This is logger powered by a USB port, MAP sensor powered by the 5V output of the logger and analog 1 reading the sensor....

Funny you bring this up. I was testing a full system on the "bench" and tried sucking on the MAP to see what reading I could get. I found I could easily max the vac at 10kpa lol.

Also can't make much boost, barley make the 105kpa on the 1 bar. lol

I can pull a better vacuum than my VP engine in over run, think that engine is on its way out lol

so i borrowed a maf for the night off the vt ls1 all wired to vs ecu running the_1's enhanced vs code.do you think if i checked 1 = Airflow Set To Raw MAF During Crank (When RPM < Run) you reckon ide get a maf reading without crank signals dont really want to make a crank trigger setup for it to only get a maf reading .or is there a code hack i can do with hex editor to show maf hz with no rpm

i had a quick play the other night with those but no didn't get it working, i will have a further look next chance.

Also there are B10 & A5 0-5v inputs there is another 2 from memory available which i have played with a long time ago, jumper wires off the chip to spare pins would be required.
