Thanks guys. You are correct antus, but when you think you've got a part right, you leave it in there, change a bit more, and repeat a dozen times, is why I've got myself in a mess. Start again is correct. Thanks VL400 and Dylan for your inputs. The idle AFR is 14.63 in closed loop, and 13.66 (I think) in open loop, but I stopped using the open loop setting because it seemed to create more problems than I already had (obviously fueling is U.T.S. also). :? :wtf: I'll post the .bin and I'll get ready for the thrashing that I'll get for my lack of knowledge in this area. :director: Thank you all.

If targeting 14.63 afr a O2 in good condition would return 450mv so your last log it was a bit lean to me.
But I have no experience with maf systems so it just an observation.
Hope you can work it all out.

If it was mine id change to a VR 424 ecu and run 11P.

Thanks Dylan for your feedback. I'll check both of those suggestions out.
I've also been thinking of changing to a 16183082 or 16206305 (or 808 and hi speed com adaptor thingy) and running 12P like others have suggested in the past. Trying to source the wiring harness for a MAP based V8 is almost impossible hear in Tassie, and they want a kings ransom for them on that auction site.
Cheers

How much do they want?
Ive noticed that painless wiring in the states are doing brand new ones for the old chevs that run the 1227165 ecu
which is same as 808 but has hi speed chip. Would be a few mods needed but going by the last few vn looms i modified not worth working on.

Are you handy at wiring? Modify your existing loom to suit 808 well worth if it were me.
Are you familiair with 12P? If not you have to learn one of them might be best to stick with the VT.

Wiring not a problem. Have put HI BCMs and climate in standard VS vehicles. Have made up a patch harnesses to plug HI bcm into LO bcm vehicles.
12P?? A bit like the tune we are attempting now. N.F.I.

Thank you so much. I've got any amount of VS wiring diagrams or spreadsheets you need (or knowledge). I've owned all series, 1, 2 and 3.
I'm guessing I have to change to MAP to sort this problem out. I understand that there are probably 2000 MAF based VS 304 vehicles around, and you could probably add a couple of zeros to that to get the amount of MAP based VN to VS modified vehicles.
If that's what it takes, we're all in. I guess that's why all the LS* people go to MAFless tunes??
Any advise on what we need, or what we can buy (for a decent price), please let us know.
Cheers

Get an 808 from anywhere and mod it or theres 2 VR 082 ecu on ebay. Id buy one of them then its ready to go! And they are reasonably priced aroun $160 from memory.
Get a NVRAM from Antus and a USB interface to connect under dash to the OBD port.
I recomend a wide band from www.14point7.com spartan 2 model.
