alloy heads.

can you change any of the pullys for alloy ones?
are the aftermarket balances lighter?
wish these where around when we built this  but as Vlad said - no

Lol thats already stripped out way more that I thought. ..

Shame about the heads good weight saving and I have heard you can port them out further than the cast heads, sounds like you have some serious time into yours already.

You have the the ability to shorten any hoses by rerunning them or moving anything closer so hoses or wiring is less? Move the coil packs to the back of the motor to cut out the extra wiring?

What kind of water pump you running? If its belt driven alloy pullet along with alternator

Looks like you will have to chase alot of small amount of savings

is it really flimsy? If im going to do it, I would do whole guards and bonnet in one.

The right rear seems very light, need to tweak the rear suspension to balance it a bit better.

edit:unless you're doing a RH oval, but then you might want to adjust the front to move more weight LH front?

I think theres a lot of weight on the left rear to get it to hook up when it gets backed into a corner pretty hard and all the weight goes onto the right rear anyways ...

I've seen a few speedway cars on the scales, bloody weird setups for someone whos used to drag racing :P

im honestly surprised that those other cars are so light .... your certainly getting to the "lots of work for small gain" end of the weight reduction!

Yeah, if you look at the super modifieds you see the whole chassis is offset moving the weight to the inside.

Nothing like sucking methanol fumes at the speedway on a Saturday night :)

yeah my mate has a late model, they have some insane adjustability in them! even fuel tank to move from side to side to help with weight depending on the track! mind you they are trying to box 500+ wheel hp to the clay !!
