That was a good log thanks!

Is the speed being displayed correctly in tuner pro?
Would be good to see some higher rpm high load to get that dialled in, same with low rpm high load. Not that I encourage hooning!

Get a log of this one should only take 2 or 3 more to get the fuel right then we can play with some timing and different AFR's.

OK Ive ran into a problem.
Uploaded the latest bin and went to log it
Initially noticed its now hunting at idle.
I managed to get a log of it doing it:
FAILEDlog691.xdl
(143.01 KiB) Downloaded 257 times
Then went to go for a drive and started getting data acquisition errors. And now I cant get it to receive data without errors with the engine running.
Once I connect and start getting data with the key on everything is good, as soon as I start the engine it very quickly starts giving errors.
I have to disconnect, switch the key off and on, re initialise emulation hardware so it will successfully get data again. As soon as I start the engine errors start and the log stops.
Heres a log of this. Logs fine until I start the engine then the log stops when the data errors started.
FAILEDlog693.xdl

Tried different USB ports, restarting my laptop, re uploading the bin, made sure everything is plugged in etc.
What should I be trying?

Successfully uploaded the previous BIN which I took a log from yesterday with no problems and it still does it, however it did fix the idle hunting problem (I guess the idle problem is something with the tune unrelated to the data errors).

Not sure on the laptop errors I've had weird stuff come and go like that.

Im at work all day but I'll look at those logs tonight.

With the tune sorry about that. I didn't do a lot to the idle really.

If you want to have a try today look at these:

Copy Map A 20-100kpa spark table from the previous bin and also idle spark table.
I made small adjustment there to help smooth it funny enough.

Maybe even copy the 30 and 40kpa VE in the 400 800 1000 rpm cells from the previous tune.
They had a small adjustment as it was going slightly lean once warm.

Haven't ran any power leads in different spot? Not using a different USB lead?

If you can do a get bin with the flashtool will check the bin structure is ok.

Lets have a look at this one. Sorry I cant help on the laptop errors. So long as the current bin turns up ok must be a laptop problem.
Hopefully the problem goes away next time.

The first log had some good data. But the latest bin looks a it funny with a compare to a standard bin. the ACSP temp sensor table is all -40 and a lot of undefined data. I didn't loo at that last time.

Do a write bin with this one. Its a new standard bin with current changes copied over manually. Plus an idle adjustment from the latest log.
This bin will be fine so write this over the current bin on your NVRAM.

Ok plugged the laptop in today. Was able to successfully do a get BIN with the flashtool with the old bin still loaded on the nvram. Logging worked perfect (weird because I havnt changed anything).
So I uploaded the new BIN and got a log from cold. Drove round for 12 minutes 18 seconds before the data error happened and it stopped.
Restarted everything and tried to get another log and as soon as I started the engine it lost data again (exactly the same as last time).

Im thinking maybe its something to do with my laptop not being plugged into the charger and maybe switching off the usb port to save power or something.
Because thats the only thing im doing different these last 2 times that I wasnt every other time Ive taken a log (I previously had a cig lighter charger plugged in). And that battery in it isnt very good (Was down to 40% after the 12 minute log), and this time it started at fully charged while last time it was already low on charge.

Anyway Ive attached the log I got. Its using the new bin you just posted in your last reply.

Road speed still isn't correct. It reads 22 km/h at 100km/h (by the GPS speedo app on my phone). Im using standard VN VSS and VP speedo modified to fit in a HZ speedo housing and retaining all the standard divide by 5 circuit etc. I wasn't expecting it to be so far out. The speedo itself reads fairly close to where I would expect without the speedo corrector installed yet.
Maybe the PPK value in the tune is out?

Idle was much better in this tune. No hunting etc

check the pulses per km in the tune and see if its the 1250 or 6250 ... cause the speed your out by is pretty much exactly a multiple of 5!

vn/vp tunes use the 1250 ppk setting where as VR tune is 6250, and if its $12P that's probably your issue.

It's left at 6200 (or whatever vr us off hand it 6xxx)
As for the laptop I run an eBay cigarette plug power supply. Have to watch the voltage though.
Mine us adjustable. My laptop runs at 19v but it's on the 12 volt setting. Only about $20 and works a treat.

That's was a good log. Its coming along nice. How's it feel? Few rich spots sorted out now. On the decell I'll have to look into why there's no DFCO active as well.
Another log or 2 and VE will be right. Then we can run some different AFR's and there's room for a little more timing in some spots.

well if your seeing 20kms at 100km with 6250 ppk, then if you change it to 1250 I think you'll be spot on.
