it would be hard pressed to be a shit signal where I am..... the hill with the tower is right next to my house ~ 1-2km line of sight and I can see it lol

funnily enough mobile signal is really shit though... my damn house is like a faraday cage... silver paper lining all walls floor and roof. you walk outside the front door, full signal.... walk inside the door, 1 bar.
glad the nbn radio is on the roof.

NBN fixed wireless uses 2.3GHz and 3.5GHz.

This is a pretty useful site .. https://oztowers.com.au/Home/Query
The ACMA database search is no where near as friendly to use

that is a fantastic site! bookmarked! very interesting to see where all the towers are for different carriers in the area.

I'm about 6km line of sight, also on a hill and I can see it from my place. Iirc it was about -70 something dBm and the limit they pose is -99dBm according to info on whirlpool Been up since Q3 2015 and the signal is always pegged at max, never once dropped a single LED on the scale even under torrential rain.

oh ok, info I got must of been wrong then. Well at least that gives a lot of bandwidth for higher speeds in the future.

I had fixed wireless install a few months ago and the tech had to deliberately misalign the antenna to get the signal below the overload threshold. Being 600m from the tower might have something to do with it :punk:
