Im not entirely sure if it will work as it is a encrytped file with additonal information for custom os etc tacked on. The .tun file is actually decrytped before it is uploaded to flash and encryted when it is saved again. I did it with a hpt file along time ago and it didnt work but it is worth a try, whats the worst can happen lol

No you can not load an efilive .tun file straight onto the flash its the wrong format. Efilive's .tun files are not 524,288 bytes (4 Mbits)

If you send me your .tun file I will convert it to a bin so you can flash that in.

Cheers

thanks guys for all your help

flash chips arrived today so this arvo i flashed in the bin and poked the flash back in the pcm

Had to make up a couple of jumper wires as i broke off 2 of the pads the chip goes onto but they were easy ones to jump which is good

after a couple of soldering attempts i got good joints and it fired straight up no problem

I want to thank everyone for their help and info as its a learning curve lol

since i bought the elm327 cable im going to build a bench setup when i find a cheap damaged harness somewhere and socket a pcm so i can have a fiddle and try and get that seed key tool working and see if i can learn some more to try and be as helpful as u guys

cheers Rod
