well i finally put the bonnet on the gem since the EFI has been installed .... i knew it was going to hit on the bonnet, how much it hit was the question.

so with that issue 'out in the open' i decided it was going to need some sort of scoop .... i'm not a big fan of hornet scoops and it would need to be off to one side if i used it so i figured probably a Torana A9X type scoop was probably the best option ....

it would need alot of trimming as its WAY TOOO long for the poor little gem bonnet so i did a little photo chop and this is what it looks like ....

i am thinking though i would prefer it a little lower ... so a VK SS scoop might be a good option....

well on a totally different subject to the scoop, i have just put my dollars down for a set of Siemens deka injectors .... 80lbs ... should do what i need for a long time to come!!

and i just said to my brother tonight who wanted to come over and see the gem running on methanol that he'll have to wait for a while cause its back on petrol till i get the bigger injectors and that could be a while :) maybe not :driving:

once i get them then i'll just need to get about $100 together to get a heap of methanol for tuning!! :comp:

well after alot of fucking around i have eventually got my garden sprinkers working ok on the gemini with petrol....

still some fine tuning to do of the idle but other than that its pretty close if not slightly rich!

going to do a bit more work on the idle then i plan to get some more methanol and see if i can't get it to rev better than 2600rpm!!
