Sorry I forgot about this message. Strategy is HACCKGA, ASU-154 and part number is 5R29-14C204-AGF. I'm sure if I implemented a write entire eg from sector 0 onwards it would allow any file to be loaded, but it would also guarantee you could brick it if you use an incompatible firmware. I probably won't implement a full write at this stage unless there appear to be a good reason to.

I didn't think it would work with the openport 2.0.
If it does I would buy credit today.
I thought the hp tuner programmer was a dongle as well & the software needed to see it to work.
Does anyone know of a way around this?
My beta won't be out until Christmas at the earliest so if you have a spare $1k buying a HPT dongle isn't a bad investment as you can always sell the cable (that is the expensive part) down the track. Imo it is better value than sniper and you can't buy SCT. Otherwise being creative with romraider is your best bet.

Roll's is your software also going to be compatible with the 6 spd Transmissions? for the FG'S
I was also playing around with the checksum for vin on V8 files its different again to the I6. I can send you the details if you dont have them already.

It is on the road map but not in the beta. I don't know enough about the transmissions nor do I own one, I need to do more reading and actually tune one before I would be confident enough about putting the right tables in the software. I also wouldn't know where to start with mapping the tables out as I've never even looked at what tables are available.
So yes eventually, but not initially.

Great work going on here Rolls and others that have pitched in! Awesome to see so much progress in such a small amount of time.
Im currently working on replacing the ICC with 10" tablet arduino and a can bus shield over bluetooth. My thoughts after that is complete is to look into Read/Write to pcm. Im watching with enthusiasm. Cheers

Is that literally the front half of a BA/BF???
Now thats some serious simulation!
*Edit
I spy with my little eye, the opened arduino project
Whats happening on all those white boards, I see alot of mentions of BEMs happening there!

One of the guys I'm working with found this product which might be useful for some of you looking for a cheap option to program other manufacturer vehicles using the openport. Seems very reasonably priced as well.

Is the ICC the LCD screen you are talking about? I know one of the guys on here replaced it with a car PC which I think runs windows, simple but the result looks very good.
What about going raspberry pi? You get more hardware acceleration so you could play HD movies on it if you were that way inclined.

Yeah removing the ICC unit itself besides the BEM.

I remember reading that build on another forum. Does look good.

Good point, I overlooked that option.
The tablet is mounted on a magnet sheet and being bluetooth its completly removable. Still have a few things to implement but all in good time.
Looking forward to see your end product Rolls, let me know if I can help. Cheers

Hahaha Yeah I got sick of using my slow laptop and working outside in the rain (limited space in my small garage) so I thought Id cut it in half.

Right on the mark

The Ba XR6T is an insurance write off. Somehow when it got delivered the key got "lost" So one of my missions is to disable/fool/figure the algorithm to the PATS system. Im currently exploring the BEM then on to PCM. Sharp eye you got there hahaha.
