well after much measuring and comparing options and scratching head and beer i have decided that its just going to be too hard to fit the LS1 in the gemini without major modifications or big sacrifices, so i've decided against it.
the up side of it is that i am going to continue on the path of a turbo 202 which will be 1/10th the cost of doing the LS1 and should give me plenty of HP to scare the shit out of myself atleast once or twice!
i have a spare 202 short motor thats pretty fresh and has low comp pistons and bugger all taken off the deck so i'll basically check it over and put it back together with the right comp for boosted methanol and then use the current head and cam, and the cam i have in it now is actually a blower/turbo solid gring from camtech (planned ahead with that purchase) so should be a pretty straight forward build, will also use all the ARP gear in the current motor (but probably get a new set of rod bolts).
i've also found a website that sells holden 6 cylinder MLS gaskets
and the rest should be just a matter of a turbo and some associated parts and then piece it all together.
