I was hoping to get to the WSID on Sunday, but I'm waiting for a part for the gearbox. Hope the weather holds out for you.

which part are you waiting for, the slave cylinder bracket ? if thats all it is i may be able to bring one for you ? (i THINK i still have one laying around somewhere) couldn't guarantee it will last with your launches though :P

I'm giving the box an overhaul & the supplier in the USA forgot to put 1 part with my order, so I'm waiting for it to arrive, hopefully Monday.

well i only managed a best of 12.78 @ 106mph.

the converter wasn't the 1000rpm increase i had hoped for, it has made it feel better off the line, but the 60 footer was actually slower in that run than in my 12.81, it was in the top end i made the gain which was a bit surprising to me.

there was also a head wind, i don't really know how much effect that would have though if any ?all i know is the burnout smoke was blowing directly through the tunnel into the staging lanes.

i also decided to do the smaller burnout and more air in the tyres to see if that improved it, and the two runs of that was when my lift pump decided to work on and off and both last two runs have massive lean spots in the top end of the run! musn't have been too bad cause i didn't really notice it and the runs were still in the 12's so mixed results.

up side is i managed to get 6 runs in and only need to sort out a minor leak in the thermostat housing and re-wire the lift pump before gunnedah!

oh and im going to look into angling my upper control arms down at the front to see if it helps with the car wanting to squat so much and the diff hitting on the floor.

i wish i had someone there that could have taken an out of the car video so i could see the rear, hopefuly one of the track side photographers will have a good launch photo up soon that i can look at hehehe.

also put her on the weigh bridge and its 1096kg with me in it and full tank of fuel.

That's good mph, should have a 12.40/12.50 if you can get it to hook right. Your about a 100kgs lighter than mine. Did you do anything else to the car other than weight & converter? See if you can lower the front of the arms about an 1". Do you have the outer tubes on the rear shocks? If so cut them off & put a cable tie around he shaft, then push it down before your run, then measure how much suspension movement you are getting.

i'm not sure if i have 1 inch adjustment, will see how i go. as for the shocks, i can tell you the diff is hitting the floor and its normally 2inchs off the floor at ride height so too much :P

no other changes other than converter and weight no. i am 100kg lighter but im also 16 or 17 hp down on your car too, i think from memory.

i'm pissed i had lean out issues in two runs cause they were probably the better starts just didn't have the top end to go with them!

heres the slips from the day, you can see in the last two runs, times were slower but the first 1/8 was on par or better than others, just the lean top end that killed them.

by the way i can't work out what when wrong with the times in the first run ......

You want to frame that 1st pass, 1.129 60', that should be good for an 8sec pass!
The rest of them look pretty consistent.
Are you stalling the converter or flashing it, if the stall is still a bit low, you may better flashing it.
If it's a new converter you may be able to get it loosened up further.
A set of stiffer rear springs may help.
