Run both, its easy to add the bung supplied with the LC1 kit. Can then monitor closed loop after your done making changes, it also can help confirm the LC1 is operating correctly when you first set it up - as the narrowband swings rich/lean either side of 14.7:1 can confirm the wideband also hovers right around 14.7:1.

Ok we'll I pulled apart the 3fe do or engine this morning. Damage was worse then expected. Piston 1 skirt was smashed. Once I saw that I just went to pull the head off. At the moment it's in the back of the ute. But will send it away to be checked out and while its there give it a acid bath and deck the head to make sure it's all good when put on my car.

Progress update.

Managed to get a set of ls1 coils. I'm going to run 6 ls1 coils so I can get rid of
The dizzy. Will still use the dizzy for the pickup though.

Ecu has been modded by vl400. I have been reading and playing a bit with tuner pro.
Head from the donor seems to check out fine. I'm still going to get it decked though.

So I need to make up a few plates to block off pollution shit off the original intake
Manifold.

Saving cash at the moment to buy things on this never ending list.

Still to go.

Bosch 044 pump.
Maybe a surg tank but will see on this.
Efi fuel lines.
Vn wiring loom (the one I mentioned earlier was stuffed at the wreckers)
Innovate lc-1 wideband
2 bar map sensor
New short leads for ls1 coils.
Narrowband O2 sensor
2.5 inch exhaust dump at back wheels

After the car runs
Turbo
Intercooler

Ok we'll I Came across a pair of two ct20 turbos off a 2jz. I know they are a bit small for my engine but for $100
Off a mate with intercooler pipes and water / oil lines I couldn't resist.

Questions for a few people. Do you think it is worth running each turbo off each 3 port exhaust header or should
I run them of all header pipes with 1 pipe to spool both turbos?

Also ideas from people should I change fuel tank to a in tank editors pump or go with an external efi pump and run
A new return line to the tank?

i reckon the split exhausts will give better results!!

i'm not sure on the ability of the in tank pump so i'd probably say external pump and surge tank.

Yeah I think I'm going to separate them and run one off each tri header.

There is no in tank pump at the moment it's a mechanical pump on the engine.

But I think I'll stick with external pump.

Got a Camira wiring loom during the week which I just checked out and it has the map sensor with
It so that's a bonus until turbos go on.

I'm going to get an extra Camira loom next week to pinch a few connectors
Off it.

could always use the mechanical pump to feed the surge tank and have it located in the engine bay ?

yeah you still need a return line back to the tank, just was meaning have it there so you can use the pump on the motor.

Just to give an update. Well not much of an update except to say things will be on hold for a little bit.
I have been busy building a new roof for family so it has taken up most of my time.

I have barely started the wiring of VL400's ignition box and ecu but will shortly. designing some LS1 coil
mounting brackets in my spare time. Also pulled turbo's apart and checked them. They are in ok condition
and will do the job for now. I am thinking i want to go a top mount intercooler so i am chasing a intercooler
core at the moment which we can weld some custom end tanks on to go around the intake manifold and
straight to the turbo's for a neat fit.

And regarding turbo oil return line what size is recommended for those running turbo's? Im thinking just
running a braided return line to a T peice then to the sump but need to know what diameter would be
best to not restrict oil flow back to the sump.

But now as i need my landcruiser for my trip away in April i am going to have to wait a bit.
