assuming you are using E85 AFR table values, you shouldn't need to change the lean cruise from what a stock VR table is, generally the numbers range from .2 up to 2 or so .... which means it adds that amount to the open loop AFR table for that load point.....

as far as what is best for your motor is hard to say, but generally if you can feel lean cruise turn on its making it too lean, it feels like a little stumble like its missing .... hard to explain.....

below is the standard settings from $11P CAKH bin file for lean cruise.

you'd probably want to change them to maybe 1.5-1.6 for E85 which if your targetting 9.7 at cruise this would make it 11.2-11.3 target AFR in your logs.

also depending on your cam and diff gearing you might not want it enabling that low in the revs....

but honestly, don't even think about enabling lean cruise till your tune is 100% sorted in the AFR and VE tables for E85, as like the others have said, your just asking to burn shit up!

Ok cool thank you 202 thats what i thought it may do hency y it targets a lean af i have no need for lean cruise atm id rather spend my time sorting out this 0-100kpa map as is and with the e85 afrs in place before attempting to use it

One other question i have is what are all the afr tables that need to be changes i know of the 0-100kpa and the boost map but the only other one i know of was the idle afr is there any other afr tables that are there so when im ready to change them all over i can make sure that i get them all

While I am all for having a go with the DIY tuning you have done this a few times now in this thread. My advice would be to only change things when you understand what they do. There are stacks and stacks of changes in your current and previous bins that are either totally unnecessary or so incorrect you are risking engine damage that you will just find the process really frustrating. It will literally take only a handful of changes to get things in the ballpark with a safe tune you can then tweak to get spot on. Ask questions before making changes!

Yeah its bern a steep learning curve then didnt touch it for 12months while the car was off the road and forgot a fair bit of stuff so now im getting back into it and learning again its not something that can be picked up straight away ive mentioned plenty of times that im not very farmilliar with everything in the bins and am still learnin hell i just learned about what calc ve does ive been spending everynihht going over my logs from the trip home and logging every day so far and the tune is getting heaps better thougj im still not confident to change the afrs over nor do i know how many afr tables there are i tried to do a peramerter search last night to have a look and see if i could find them but it only bought up a couple so im going to have to go diggin i just dont want to miss any is all also i dont know where these dead times go i had a look but cant find the place for them i took the time to call the shop and have them emailed to me so i may aswell use them and im always willing to learn i may not be silly but i sure as hell dont know everything

Then why not start with the bin file that was already set up for you?

when you change over too e85 afr numbers you will need to scale the injector rate to e85 and set up your wide band to read e85 numbers at the moment with your wide band reading petrol afr to keep it simple stick to tuning it as if it were petrol. only change things that you understand.. if you don't know what it does read the guides like holden202t has on 12p the process of tuning the engine and its requirements are the same from 12p-11p if you cant find the answer ask first. a bad tune kills a good engine no one wants to see that happen we are all here to help each other out.
