Re: my ride vt ecotec
the injector rate doesn't really change that much for petrol V's e85, e.g. petrol = .025 inj rate, and for the same settings of injector size and engine capacity changing injector rate to e85 = .024..... its a change but not massive, the real change is in the AFR's ...... BUT if you are running E85 and the tune is filled with petrol AFR's you will have had to have fudged the injector rate to allow it to be rich enough, ie. its probably about .038 instead of .025 ... 1.5 times different to what it should be.
i totally agree with Dylan, get the AFR tables setup for the fuel you are using and learn to tune to that number, its really not that hard, use the open loop AFR tables to see what your wideband is supposed to be seeing at certain load points, especially if your using CalcVE to make tune changes, or even easier in the monitor put target AFR and wideband AFR up and make sure their min/max are the same and they will then plot together, if they are close to each other then they are the same, but if not then those areas need work, the logging will do all the maths for you, you just need to punch the info into the VE table and then smooth it accordingly.

My injector rate is way different to what it was, but correct AFR table makes up that difference.

yep thats right, thats what im saying, if you divid the current injector rate by 1.5 it should be pretty close to what is correct for the cylinder size, injector size and E85, and in fact the inj rate in your bin on the previous page is almost identical to what i posted above

Air intake temps?
Where is your AIT sensor located?

Re: my ride vt ecotec
oh yeah does it pull timing as per intake temps? the sensor is in the back of the plenum and it seems to be doing this regardless of coolant temp but it sounds like a good place to start looking maby?

Building a getrag to hold any more than where yours is at now will quickly prove futile and much more costly in the long run imo. I've seen customers try but no matter how much they spend the boxes never held more than stock boxes did.
