Re: The1's Daily
you can pic up new L32 rods from GM for I think about 50 each. They are heaps stronger then the L67 rods, stiffer and more dimensionally stable.The1 wrote:yeh ill be on the hunt for another crank, for the time i have it'l prob be another 6-8 months till i get back to it, so between now and then ill try and save some coin and ill get it all cleaned up, prob just get new internals, save the hassle and make it reliable again, get bores done for new pistons, but anyway who knows at this stage.

yeah they are the same rods.
i don't know the reputation of the power pistons.
I would stick to genuine for mild builds, JE or diamond pistons for performance abuse.
this mob I have been talking to seem to use the diamond pistons.

the 2nd website don't accept over seas credit card and there was additional fees so it worked out more expensive.
I tried to buy with them but could do it due to the payment issues. I used newgmparts.com and they were great. Their website just got redone and heaps easier to find parts now.

This is what I've used for my daily. Both rods and pistons. I've done a few cars running over 230rwkw on the same combo that are dailied and stripped part time too with no single issue on quality.
Your existing rods resized with ARP would be a really good option too as the L32 rods are around 40g heavier per rod than stocko L67 rods. Weight is baaaadddd lol
