Ok I will give that a shot. Good news the replacement Spartan controller is in transit so hopefully shouldn't be too far off.
Originally the engine idled at about 950rpm. Holden 202 did say that the idle of the tune would be too high and I just adjusted this back to around 800 with the idle screw rather than adjusting the fuel. I know this is not the right thing to do but it was easy at the time. Should I put the idle back to where it was at 950 and make adjustments to the fuel via the VE table. Will this bring the idle down or is this more to do with idle spark adjustments. Cheers

Have you wired in an IAC? If you do it will try to keep the idle at 950. I have one setup and don't have the IAC (lazy) so I have to set the idle with the screw. Works fine.

Yes one came with the VN throttle body and I just plugged it in. Can you adjust the IAC within Tuner Pro?

yep, there is an idle speed vs temp table somewhere.

its idle speed vs battery voltage.
"IAC - Desired RPM for manual trans Vs Battery voltage"
generally you set the calibration value to the rpm you want it to idle at, then log your IAC steps with tunerpro while idling hot, and wind the throttle stop till you get about 30 steps on the IAC.

Thanks for that. I also found the IAC section in the basic tuning guide

My VE and spark tables are all over the place, talk about spiky. I don't know where I got my bin file from but my current tables are nothing like the tables in the straight6 v111 bin. if I cut and paste the tables from the v111 bin into my current bin I think things might run a bit better. Either that or I just use the v111 bin.

Smells of a corrupted NVRAM. I would reload from scratch and make all changes again.

Make sure your using the right ADX. I have made that mistake in the past. The car ran great and when I read it it was all over the place (spikey). Check the ADX etc before condemning anything. I think you got the program from 202 so check with him. Send him a copy for comment first.
