just wondering what frequency the flex table runs at ?
I am setting it up for variable steering that normally runs at 167 hz

It also shows you the freq and pin on the flex output setup screen in the flashtool.

Great thanks a lot i found it
What are your thoughts on powering a speed sensitive steering solenoid at 32hz when it normally runs at 167 hz?
I would have thought the slower 32hz would be ok as it will still control current to the sloinoid

No idea on that one. With something like steering I would be very careful in going away from what the factory uses.

re: map switching. you mention that it requires $12p, but is it at all possible (or become) to switch between 2 $5d maps using an 808 without fitting a nvram?

There are 2 ways to do it. 12P has 2 copies of the tables you generally need to switch to change fueling, and you can install a switch on to one of the ecus digital pins to signal the OS to use the other maps.
The other way is the physical way which you'll have to build yourself. You can install a double size eprom or eeprom with 2 copies of tunes on it (one above the other) and add a switch on the high address line and resistor which pulls the signal high (Im not sure its high off the top of my head - someone correct me if im wrong). Then when you flick the switch it connects the line to ground. When doing it this way the ecm will see one half of the chip or the other which swaps the OS and all data in to the space the ecm is referencing. You should turn the engine off when doing this.

thanks, so option 1 means i have to run a $12p map no option?
And option 2 i have seen something about putting a resistor on the eprom just can't find it at the moment. if someone has a link to it could they post it up for me? So correct me if i'm wrong, i will need a 27c512 eprom (i think it is) out of a vr memcal & i will need to program it with 2 $5d maps. then use the switch & resistor to change maps?
