What to do with an old flogged out VZ SV6 Ute

more than anything its aim is to see how a rear mount turbo works, and also how an alloytec responds to a turbo.

if it doesn't explode it might end up out at Gunnedah doing some 1/8th racing, then i'll probably pull the motor and box (and wiring) and a few other parts and ditch the shell.

oh and at least one shed skid with the turbo .... purely to compare non-turbo v's turbo ..... its not like im a hoon or anything

Not a massive update, but long story short, the injectors in the ute with the adaptors have been leaking, and i just happened to see these on facebook market place and couldn't resist:

1. they are the right length
2. they are the right connector
3. they are 70lb!
4. they are cheap!!

so they were installed in the ute last night and tune adjusted for the size difference and shes all working nicely!

i did a pretty dodgy skid to load the engine up and get a log, its pretty much a black video with some smoke wafting through the headlights of another vehicle!

anyways its still a low priority project in my life at the moment but at least now it wont catch on fire and probably has the capacity in the injectors for E85 and 10psi maybe ?

I just re-read this from the start, that oil scavenger pump is exactly the same type I have been using on my VE twin turbo. I have had nothing but drama with them, they don’t seem to cope long term with the oil temp. The seal between the pump and the electric motor dies, floods the motor with oil and burns everything...
Another thing to consider is the effect of blow-by on the returning oil to the crank case and its ability to stall the pump seeing it has no bypass valve.
