ide stick with the meth its allways going to be better than e85 especially as you wind the boost higher and higher :D .its like drinking jack daniels then changing to homebrew LOL

I'd think that for a street car, not Holden202T's scenario here I know. E85 would be more socially acceptable?
I'm assuming Meth is not legal for public road use?

that's correct.

I guess it will be a matter of what the limit is on my injectors, i'm not going to put more in or get larger ones, i'd prefer to go to e85. it has 90% of the benefits of using methanol and not as many issues! (corrosions, cold start etc)

plus I have yet to put an intercooler on it so theres more room for winding the boost up if I needed to do that anyways! and I am not going more boost till I have better engine parts :P hehehe

All worth thinking about anyway. But I guess money too, short term vs long term aswell.

Yeah that's right and really e85 vs methanol for cost is nothing it's everything else if I stick with methanol

Don't really know why but I have a thing for E85. It's not even available within 200k's of my town (we have E10 though)
If it comes to town I'd think about it but then you have inconsistencies to deal with, word on the street anyway as I've never dealt with it.
Apparently it smells nice.

yeah that's the problem, in winter they put less ethanol in it so it starts better cold!

I dont want to hijack the thread, but for the record the fuel tank sensors are available which output a PWM signal depending on mixture, but I cant think of a way you could use it with 12p without VL400 adding a feature for it. GM Part number 12570260

wow not cheap! guess it depends how much you want to have your AFR's right with the change in ethanol content hey.

so VL400 whens it getting added to $12P ;) hahahaha

on the subject, i have just finished changing all my MAP A AFR tables from petrol to e85 .................. just in case!

From what I've heard, E85 drops to about E70 during the winter months. There are a couple of good threads about it on the Aussie V8 forum. One of the users also sells a fuel tester.
