yeh factory target is to rich, VS is 12.0 lol, i always have found 12.8 to be good, 13 loosing a degree or two at times, especially when hotter.

does it improve performance in anyway by leaning it out a little?
I thought 12.5 was rich for such engines as the V6. Most other cars I seen NA use 13 at WOT some slightly less.

13:1 will make power at the trade off of higher cylinder temps fine for the odd point and squirt but if you want to rack it through the gears for sustained amounts of time 12.5 is much safer

So how does the 5L go with the 14.7 up to the 90 odd Kpa?
Im thinking 12.8 should be fine.

I might try some stuff with the WOT AFRs after coming across this rather interesting but old article.

LOL, that article shows up every couple of years.
Funny things is, it was the VN's that had the most timing/aggressive tunes.
I've also found that the stock L67 tunes are commanding high 10's for AFR's..... It's kinda scary how rich the factory tunes are in PE mode when there is no need for it because you can command it to get richer the longer you are in PE and also adjust depending on engine temp.

12P had all 14.7 until the last 2 columns where it suddenly goes 12.5 iirc.

That's probably because 12P has had extra columns added so they were probably all just populated with 14.7 as a starting point.

nah that wouldn't be right, because im pretty sure most of the extras were before about 80kpa to give more resolution for big cams at idle, and even if they were added, the new columns would have had halfway between the two column figures either side of them .....
depending on the tune too, a lot of the older ones were very basic compared to the later ones!

possibly.
I was comparing to V6 one and thought geez they run the V8 pretty lean lol.
