yeah its fitting pretty well so far, being able to low mount the turbo is the best outcome for it, im looking forward to seeing how it ends up with the engine cover etc.
in other news i've been having some issues with the bedford when i started it last time it was a bit lean, once it warmed up it was "ok" but wideband was reading lean and revs usually caused a lean backfire ..... this was maybe 6-8 months ago.
the other day i wanted to test my data logger on it before i put it in a car to go off logging, so i decided it was a good oportunity to put some fresh fuel in it and give it a start up at the same time....... ooooh what a mistake that was.
firstly it started ....barely! spluttered for about 10 seconds and as soon as i pressed the pedal it died, it then wouldn't re-fire again, and then flat battery, so i got another battery to try, in the process of that it snapped the negative battery terminal screw off the clamp!
feeling defeat was upon me i decided to just turn the ignition on and test the logger ..... and of course it wouldn't connect, nor would the usb interface on the laptop with flashtool.... at this point i said fuck it and had a calming ale ... or 4!
whilst having said ale i was wondering why there was so much fuel smell in the shed and found injectors leaking from the top seal into the fuel rail, and it was nearly all of them, so i pulled the fuel rail out and this happened on 4 of them.

I then pulled all the injectors out and found out why they were leaking

its not really a good photo but the top seal is half eaten away

i then spotted the reason it wasn't running real well ...... the cavity inside the rail was also full of gunk!

some of the filters were full to the top with crap, others not so much......
so i'm in the process of getting some injector kits and seals to fix stuff, and i'll be replacing the fuel filter, and i'm interested to see whats inside it!
the only positive from this is i've worked out why its not running right
