Yeah that sucked to see especially after we'd popped out most of previous damage & hand polished marks off it...car looked ready for wreckers when first got it.

Tank full of 95 & 2nd hand replacement no 3 coil driving in 10 degree weather, strong cold winds had it turning a tyre in 2nd without trying...weird ol' ute.

Curious question.

Bloke I know has low mileage series 2 buick engine I can have...problem is it is missing flywheel.

Read these are externally balance so that would make engine useless unless balanced again?

It'll be fine.

Externally balanced yes but only to OEM factory tolerances.

The flywheel has a extra lump cast into the back of it to help balance the engine as does the balancer on the front.

Nah it's got full throttle at 'cable' & checked butterly inside no restriction although it's 65mm throttle body.

Sending memcal away soon + part-chasing....been sidetracked with job hunting.

Finally bought wiper refills to keep new windscreen nice...nearly completed stage 1.

Popped the pcv out to give it a click clean...looked like it was sticking but not too bad, idle feels better inside car...still tricky to get 1st gear sometimes.

Noticed build up of fresh oil on top of driver's side chassis but top of engine & timing cover seal no visible leaks.

Vlad if he still wants to do it...it's similar to one of his tuned cars.

Trying not to mess with it too much untill job situation gets worked out over next few weeks.

Here is the old BIN, label is some self adhesive cloth/canvas with a label typed on a type writer by the looks of it?

Its has "VSV GM V6, STB rpm5.5"

I tried to ID it, but comes up with unknown file.
