Cant trust anyone to do a proper job these days.
Found the timing miles out today. No wonder it runs like shit.
Set it mechanically with the dissy. Cars been sitting for awhile and battery is dead. Typical.
Now have to wait till tomorrow to get a new battery to correct the base timing with the timing gun..
Have ordered the NVRAM which VL400 is loading the RT Bin onto it for me.
Just need some help with TP RT with the tuning side if anyone could help.
Is there anything on my other BIN that could be useful with the RT Bin??
Hope to have RT running next week.

if hes just put on a stock 1bar $11 rtbin youll be able to copy over most tables and settings as a base tune

Also tried ALDL READER. Love it!
This is where i first noted the timing.. 30-45btdc on idle and shut her straight down to check it mechanically. Miles out.
I know its high on idle but that high??
Going to put in my other tune tomorrow as i know it works 100% (off boost anyways) and get the timing right
Once thats set correctly will fit the nvram and go from there

the timing displayed in the aldl is what the ecu is commanding it wont change when you move the dizzy.to set the dizzy timing bridge pins 5 and 6 of aldl plug with paperclip and use a timing light and set to 10 degrees which is the 2nd big mark if i remember right

yep thats what ive done.
Will check when bridged tomorrow..

Ok ive put in another memcal and now Flash tool finds it as a VR MANUAL ECU??
recieved the bin threw 0000 to ffff and only gives me 32kb.
Tried with another memcal from RCC and it too says VR MANUAL and only 32kb

Am i doing something wrong??
have the bins if anyone wants a looks.
1 tune i paid 1500$ tuning it on the dyno from enhanced automotive in adelaide

if the flashtool says they are vr manual they probably are.are the yturbo tunes to suit your big injectors

1 tune from enhanced was to suit my old cammed motor with blue tops etc... 154rwks not bad for tired 304. Paid 1500 for it.
This tune works excellent. Didnt miss a beat, and worked great with my shiftkitted trans.
So how can it say its manual??
And the other tune is from RCC to suit cam and blue tops also
Im so lost :/
