Yeah that Centura is nuts and certainly a big inspiration. It's amazing they get that speed from a non-jap 6 cylinder.

Now with a puffer it should be a very nice car to drive. I remember driving the E49 when it was almost new (young kid with a big foot) and planted the accelerator when I was going around a corner. I don't need to say what ended up happening.
Yeah even my stock hemi 6 4 speed Charger wants to go sideward with a boot full. I do miss my old motor with the bigger cam that just revved like crazy, but not in winter in city driving when you have a cold motor and need to slip the clutch to stop stalling.

I had a 308 4 speed VB commodore with lsd when I was younger and did the same thing. Ended up keeping it on the road but hit both kerbs, knocked the diff 2 inches side wards and sheared the bottom off an alloy rim. Cheers

Yeah looking forward to it. Just need to work out how to mate the valiant throttle and trans kick down cables to the VN throttle body.

Thanks that's great. that's what I was thinking, the throttle from the drivers side and the trans linkage from the passengers side

I just looked at a stock throttle body and tired to get the pivot movement the same, turns out that spot on the VS TB was almost perfect, close enough anyways.

Hi all, it's been a while I've posted anything so I thought I would post some pics of the rust repairs I have been Doing on the ute. I will be fitting the efi soon but had to get the rust sorted out first.
