She certainly makes the right noises now, just need some VHT on the driveway to test it properly.

well mixed results on the dyno.
the good, the gearbox is crisp as on shifts and really holding strong now!
the bad, my so called 4000rpm converter seems to stick at 5600rpm ish ....

so basically wasn't able to really get a lot of useful tuning done.
it made 259hp I think which is even way down on the previous results, so we are thinking that's all In the converter ... and the road speed was like 40km down on before!
anyways will have to talk to the converter guys and see what they think, and i'll get the dyno graph up when I have more time.
got one video of it, so basically getting it into top and then holding at 3500rpm, I then nail it and you can hear it goes to 5600rpm ish then he lets the dyno do the ramp run and it really doesn't sound any difference!

I should add this was 13.5psi on the boost readings too!

thats normal.the dyno operator over here told us that the highstall will make tuning hard on the dyno and will slip badly.the vb hits boost and flashes to 5500 on the street but cant brake stall past 3000-4000 depending on which turbo is on it.as long as you dont have huge amounts of slip at the topend it will be fine

well the converter builder told me he was building it to lockup at 4000rpm so I have 3000rpm over usable rev range, so I wouldn't call that normal
and yeah I believe there is too much slip at the top end, that's revving similar to what I do across the finish line but its 96mph instead of 123mph I had before with the slipping trans.
so heres the data log, you can see we get it to about 3500rpm, he locks the dyno at that revs, then I put my foot down, and pretty much just as I got to full throttle he lets it go for the ramp run.

run it down the strip before getting it restalled and see what rpm you go over the line at.if you work it out driveshaft rpm vs engine rpm you couild calculate the slip % you want no more than around 20% on the topend

i'm going to talk to the converter guy first before I run it!

finally got around to editing the dyno graph, was a pretty shit phone pic! I have brightened and enhanced it as best I can so you can see the line!
you'll note the fuel line goes up and left at the end, this is after I lifted the foot.

so you might be wondering why this thing last time made 327hp or whatever .... firstly that was on 18psi and this was only 13psi (I thought it was 15psi so not sure what's going on there) but the wastegate is on whatever I had it on when I ran my 11.29 at the drags, so that's the best its ever gone regardless of boost! ....
also I am running it on E85 instead of methanol, although I wouldn't think that would drop HP as im really not on the limits of the E85 anyways let alone methanol.
