I don't think the timing of the cam sensor would be critical, the 18x would be the critical engine timing reference point, the 3x and the cam signal are only to mark when it's on the number 1 cylinder to get the sequential injection cycle to start at the correct point.

It is sad to see the inconsistency with the quality control on these parts though :(

While looking for door handles and central locking actuators in the shed I found this, no idea I had this or where I got it from.

Didn't know they made gold series single row chains. Machining quality looks good on this one, worth keeping for the splined part for when I get the vernier type for the other car.

So i can't find this info anywhere on the website, but basicly your stuck with RED kit if you want to keep using the magnet.

The CS6240 vernier set is not designed to use a cam magnet.
The CS6150 is made to use the magnet.
