Got the fuel system running off the fuel tank with a return line rather than the 5lt plastic tank and Nearly ready to drive now. Just need to tidy up the wiring a bit better so there is no melting. Seems there is a fair difference betweent the tuningfor a 245 and 265. I had the 245 Tune idling well but The Tune for the 265 needs a lot of reworking. The 265's have lArger valves and possibly different compression ratio to the 245.

have you changed the injector rate to suit the different engine size ? but yeah differences in head flow and valve size will all effect the tune.

No I haven't done that, thanks.
Spent a couple of hours in the shed this morning getting the AF settings sorted out in the 30 Kpa range but these will likely change again when I rejig the injector rate.
What I did learn today is that you can hear the motor change when it gets to the correct mixture.
Does timing affect the AF ratios at all? Cheers

good to see your getting on top of it slowly mate, if still in the reading stages, and still havent brought anything, your thread defiantly gives abit more motivation.

Good to hear Macca. Considering my level of electronics ability, If I can do it just about anyone can but wouldn't be anywhere without these guys and this forum.

large changes to timing might effect the afr's but I doubt you'll see much change with just small changes.....

at the end of the day, if you add timing and it means it can complete the combustion cycle more efficiently its going to change the amount of oxygen in the exhaust so will change the afr readings.

and yes your right about the note of the engine, too rich and it sounds like its struggling, back it off a bit and it sounds much less laboured!

Took it out for its first spin and data logging session. It wasn't long or far as I am still testing the fuel system to make sure it's safe but it Felt great I've got to say.
