I spy two exspensive checkvalves on them pumps .i bought the y joiner to join double lines and nearly fell over at the price but nice fittings just look so nice

that has got to be the nicest and the most expensive fuel system that anyone I know has ever installed

ahahaha correct delzowizzid, $50 each they are and from what I've seen the Y joiner is too, my plan is to put it in the top of the filter and then double the current pump to filter hose!!

and I can tell you now, just the surge tank, pumps and fittings I've had to get to change it all is approx. $800! that doesn't include any of the rest of the fuel system! but the speedflow fittings sure make it look tidy and are easy to work with!

in other news, I have just been testing VL400's dual circuit PWM driver board which is planned to be running the 2 pumps to slow them down at lower requirements.

initial test with just the one pump is showing 25-30psi at 30% duty cycle on petrol, so two pumps at about ~35% DC on methanol should be close to enough for idle, and then will make the flex table increase with injector DC and MAP to be all in at say 100 KPA, from previous logs and experience methanol started to loose pressure at about 13psi boost so it should keep it well ahead of requirements but still not work everything too hard.

finished testing the fuel pumps, motors out, heads off and all the block threads have had a tap run through them, only the one that failed had issues in the block, theres only 3 turns of thread left in the block, all the rest had at least double that or more! so looks like one helicoil and we'll be back in action!

went back to sydney yesterday for some fun :)

managed a 11.64 @ 122mph with 15psi boost

also noticed my diff is hitting the floor on 1 -> 2 upshift, and it has actually put marks on the tailshaft side of the unijoint where its hit the flange bolts, so thats a fair bit of twist up! so i need to get this sorted before i go too much further.

also gearbox with the old converter in it seemed to work properly unlike the new converter was! so that at least means my box is not the issue.

well I got some pretty cool presents for Christmas, but most don't relate to cars or delcos .... but I did get some bumpers for the Gemini!

when I originally went looking at wreckers I only found one Gemini suitable and it was a TE, my car is a TG, no real issue other than I reckon the TG bumpers look better plus they are all plastic so more suitable for a race car!!

so anyways my brother managed to find a set of pretty good condition TG bumpers in Sydney area just in time for when he and dad went to Sydney to pick up a new caravan 4 days before Christmas! So I now have new bumpers and probably 10kg weight saving :punk:

now all I need is a mint TG Grille and i'll be laughin!

I also got a gopro with wireless remote so I will have no more excuses for not getting plenty of good quality footage when I race now!
